How it works
Pick a start date, usually today, and the date you are counting down to. The calculator subtracts the two dates and shows the number of calendar days between them, counting weekends and holidays.
Worked example
Example: How many days from September 4, 2026 until Christmas, December 25, 2026?
Days left in September: 26. October: 31. November: 30. December up to the 25th: 25.
Answer: 26 plus 31 plus 30 plus 25 is 112 days.
Common questions
Does the count include the start date?
No. It counts the days you have to wait. From today to tomorrow is 1 day.
Can I count only work days?
Use the business days calculator to skip weekends.
What if the date has passed?
The result shows a negative number of days, meaning the date was that many days ago.
