Date of birth

Result

Calendar age

The result uses calendar years, months, and days rather than dividing total days by an average year length.

How it works

Enter a birth date and the date you want to measure to. The calculator counts full years first, then the leftover full months, then the leftover days. It also shows the total number of days lived.

Worked example

Example: Someone born on January 1, 1990, measured on September 4, 2026.

Full years: January 1, 1990 to January 1, 2026 is 36 years.

Leftover months: January 1 to September 1 is 8 months.

Leftover days: September 1 to September 4 is 3 days.

Answer: 36 years, 8 months, 3 days, or 13,395 days lived.

Common questions

How old am I in days?

Enter your birth date and today's date. The second result shows the total days you have lived.

How does it handle leap years?

It uses real calendar dates, so February 29 and leap years are counted correctly.

Can I find someone's age on a past or future date?

Yes. Change the second date to any date on or after the birth date.
